The gadget spec URL could not be found
Having the ability to hand your students' digital work can be difficult. They sometimes need to follow many steps in order to make a copy and if done wrong, they are lost. There are streamlining options for this to be made easier. Google has a copy option that will give a screen that looks like this:
With this screen, the students can get a copy for just one click, there is literally no room for error! Google offers some very easy shortcuts to allow you to force a copy on whoever clicks on the link (or if you are fancy, scans the QR code!). Below are directions on how to force a copy this with each of the GAFE options!
Google Docs - When you have finished your Google Doc, look at the link in your Omnibox (the url bar)
- ex. "https://docs.google.com/document/d/rxAyMOU/edit"
- The area you need to change is highlighted red
- Change the ending from edit to copy
Google Sheets - When you have finished your Google Sheet, look at the link in your Omnibox (the url bar)
- ex. "https://docs.google.com/document/d/rxAyMOU/edit#gid=0"
- The area you need to change is highlighted red
- Change the ending from edit#gid=0 to copy
Google Slides - When you have finished your Google Slides Presentation, look at the link in your Omnibox (the url bar)
- ex. "https://docs.google.com/document/d/rxAyMOU/edit#slide=id.p"
- The area you need to change is highlighted red
- Change the ending from edit#slide=id.p to copy
Google Drawing - When you have finished your Google Drawing, look at the link in your Omnibox (the url bar)
- ex. "https://docs.google.com/document/d/rxAyMOU/edit"

- Change the ending from edit to copy
Google Form - When you have finished your Google Form, You need to find the response sheet. In order to copy a form, you need to provide the user a copy of the Google Sheet that hosts the responses. Once you have the Response sheet open, you can make the changes to the URL as follows.
- ex. "https://docs.google.com/document/d/rxAyMOU/edit#gid=0"

- Change the ending from edit#gid=0 to copy
